Maharashtra Governor K Sankaranarayanan felicitates Sadashiv (Bhau) Sathe the Sculptor of the 18-Feet Equestrian Statue of Chhtrapati Shivaji Maharaj (installed at Gateway of India) on the occasion of the 381st birth anniversary of Chhatrapati Shivaji at Shivaji Park in Mumbai on Saturday (19 February). Public Works Minister of Maharashtra Chhagan Bhujbal and Mayor of Mumbai Shraddha Jadhav are also seen. Eighty five year old Sathe had sculpted the Statue of Shivaji Maharaj at Gateway of India, Mumbai in 1961. |
